Castle Siege
One castle. One guild holds it, everyone else wants it. Castle Siege is the largest guild-versus-guild event on the server: the owning guild defends the fortress in the Valley of Loren while the registered challengers try to break in and stamp their own seal on the throne.
The whole thing runs on a weekly cycle — you register days in advance, and the battle itself is a fixed two-hour window.
Who owns it right now, and the Hall of Fame, are on the Castle Siege event page.
The weekly cycle
Everything happens on a schedule. Miss the registration window and your guild sits this one out.
| Stage | Day | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Register Period | Monday | 00:00 |
| Register Mark Of The Lord | Friday | 00:00 |
| Castle Attack Guild Notification running now | Sunday | 12:00 |
| Ready For Castle Siege | Sunday | 15:00 |
| Castle Siege Start | Sunday | 18:00 |
| Castle Siege End | Sunday | 20:00 |
Times follow the game server clock. The cycle repeats every 7 days.
Who can take part
- Your guild master must be level 200 or higher, any class.
- The guild needs at least 20 members.
- Only the top 3 guilds (plus their alliances) get a siege slot.
- Anyone else can walk into the valley and fight as a neutral — but neutrals can never take the castle.
- If the owning guild disbands, it loses the castle.
Registering
- The guild master talks to the Guardsman NPC and presses Announce. Only the master of the main guild in an alliance can do this.
- During the mark window, any member of an announced guild can submit Sign of Lord to push the guild up the ranking. Marks drop from any monster.
- Clicking the Guardsman shows the current registry and siege status.
Ranking formula: (Sign of Lord × 5) + guild members + guild master level ÷ 4. The three highest-ranked guilds get in.
Getting there
Head to Lorencia (239, 13) and take the passage into Loren Canyon. There are no entry restrictions — but the valley is a PvP zone, so expect company.
Telling everyone apart
During the battle every participant carries a marker above their head, so you can tell friend from foe at a glance.
- Attackers and defenders can hit each other freely — no Ctrl needed, and no PK penalty, inside the valley only.
- Neutral characters are unmarked and must hold Ctrl to attack.
- Allied guilds are folded into whichever side they joined.
- No guild may join or leave once the battle has started.
How the castle is won
Killing defenders is not the objective. To take the castle the attacking guild master must reach the pedestal at the Dragon Tower and register his seal there.
- Only the guild master can stamp the seal.
- Stamping takes 60 seconds of standing still.
- Two foot holders must stay active the whole time. If either is cancelled, or the master dies, the attempt fails.
- A successful stamp swaps the two sides — the former owner becomes the attacker and the fight continues.
- Whoever has their seal on the pedestal when the clock runs out owns the castle.
What you have to break through
The fortress is not empty. Gates, statues and towers all have to be dealt with, and the owner can upgrade them between sieges.
| Structure | How many | HP each |
|---|---|---|
| Guardian Statue | 4 | 15,000,000 |
| Castle Gate | 6 | 19,000,000 |
| Canon Tower | 9 | 30,000,000 |
| Shield | 1 | 10,000 |
| Slingshot Defense | 2 | 10,000 |
| Slingshot Attack | 2 | 10,000 |

The Life Stone
Attackers who die respawn at their Life Stone instead of being thrown out of the castle, which is what makes a sustained assault possible at all.
- Attacking side only.
- Takes 60 seconds to place.
- Periodically restores HP, MP and AG to attackers within 3 tiles.
- It can be destroyed — by either side.
Chaos Machine recipe: 5× Jewel of Bless + 5× Jewel of Soul + 1× Jewel of Guardian + 1× Jewel of Chaos + 5,000,000 Zen.
Commanding the battle
Once the siege starts, participants get a siege minimap in the corner of the screen showing their position, the castle layout and the guild master's orders. Toggle it with Tab.
Only guild masters get the command buttons: attack, defend and stand by, issued to up to 7 groups separately.
Owning the castle
- The owning guild and its allies can warp straight into the castle through Loren Canyon.
- Warping is blocked during the siege itself — though defenders can still use a Town Portal Scroll to land in front of the castle.
- The owner sets the tax rate and can spend the treasury on upgrading gates and statues.
